A green lantern is an excellent device for allowing campers to save energy while in the nature.

A green lantern operates by storing solar power that is collected from a small solar panel included on the lantern itself. These have been used in African countries for some time now. They are popular because much of Africa does not even have power grids.

They are usually designed to work for about six years and most often will operate for 4-6 hours on a full charge. This green lantern is expected to be able to give out a total of 10,000 hours of light.

One of the advantages to having a green lantern is the fact that you do not need to lug around any kind of fuel or propane if you are camping. The sunlight will give you all the energy you need.

It is important to realize that a green lantern that works with solar energy does not necessarily need to have a lot of bright sunlight to collect energy. As long as there is daylight, these devices should be able to collect the energy they need to operate.
